Grammy-winning artist Anderson .Paak has officially launched his new live-music venue, Andy's, bringing a fresh take on West Hollywood’s nightlife. Known for his soulful blend of hip hop, R&B, and funk, .Paak's new venture promises a nostalgic yet intimate experience, centered on live jazz and R&B performances in a unique speakeasy-style setting.

Nestled discreetly behind a fully functional newsstand at 9077 Santa Monica Boulevard, Andy's offers more than just live music. Its cozy, vintage aesthetic mirrors the vibe of .Paak's home studio, with decor featuring personal mementos, including awards and the vibrant outfit he rocked during his 2022 Super Bowl halftime show. “It’s going to be a little like you’re in my home studio, or mom’s basement,” .Paak said about the venue. "But with bomb-ass food and a top-notch sound system for the stage.”

Partnering with veteran nightlife entrepreneurs Mark and Jonnie Houston—known for their iconic venues like Break Room 86 and La Descarga—.Paak’s vision is to transport guests to a different era while enjoying high-quality music and an inventive food menu. Featuring renowned chefs Chris Oh and Brandon Kida, the kitchen is set to deliver playful bites such as pastrami bao, Korean BBQ spare ribs, and crispy fried calamari with Thai chimichurri. And of course, there will be specialty cocktails like the "Yes Lawd!" and the "Suede," designed to perfectly complement the laid-back, creative energy of the space.

Not only will Andy's serve as a hotspot for a house band that performs throughout the week, but it also promises surprise performances by .Paak’s friends and fellow artists like Lil Jon and Robert Glasper. “We want to recreate that jam-session vibe we get when hanging out with friends,” said Jonnie Houston, emphasizing the venue's inspiration from casual, impromptu musical gatherings.

Andy's officially opened on September 25 and is set to offer an intimate yet lively atmosphere, reminiscent of Old Hollywood’s golden era when venues like Cocoanut Grove and the Brown Derby were at their peak. Open Wednesday through Sunday from 5 p.m. to 2 a.m., Andy's is poised to become a prime destination for lovers of live music and classic supper clubs.

For those seeking a mix of music, mouthwatering dishes, and a nostalgic setting, Anderson .Paak’s new spot might just be the perfect hidden gem in L.A.’s nightlife scene.
