DJ Hed and Gina Views, hosts of the popular radio show "Effective Immediately," tackled a range of hot topics in their latest episode, from Chris Brown's lawsuit against Warner Brothers to Kendrick Lamar's Grammy nominations and the latest battle rap news.


Chris Brown Sues Warner Brothers Over Documentary


Chris Brown is suing Warner Brothers for $500 million over a documentary that aired on Investigation Discovery called “Chris Brown: A History of Violence.”  Brown claims that the documentary defamed him and caused him emotional distress.  DJ Hed and Gina Views discussed the lawsuit and questioned how documentaries about controversial figures can be made without the subject's consent.    


Monogamy in the Entertainment Industry


DJ Hed and Gina Views also discussed the topic of monogamy in the entertainment industry, questioning whether it is possible for entertainers to be faithful.  Gina Views stated that she does not expect any entertainer to be faithful, but DJ Hed disagreed, saying that he believes monogamy is possible.  The two hosts debated the topic, with Gina Views ultimately concluding that "people just cheat."    


Kendrick Lamar's Grammy Nominations and DJ Hed's Grammy Board Membership


Kendrick Lamar is nominated for seven Grammy Awards this year, and DJ Hed and Gina Views predicted that he will win at least three.  DJ Hed also revealed that he is on the Grammy board, but not a voting member.    


Joey Bada$$ Disses J. Cole


Joey Bada$$ released a diss track aimed at J. Cole, and DJ Hed and Gina Views discussed the track and its potential implications.  Gina Views said that she loves rap beef and that she thinks Joey Bada$$'s diss track is "respectable."  She also said that she doesn't think J. Cole will respond to the diss track.    


Kendrick Lamar and SZA's Super Bowl Commercial and Tour Announcement


Kendrick Lamar and SZA co-star in a Super Bowl commercial, and they also announced a co-headlining tour called “The Grand National Tour.”  DJ Hed and Gina Views praised the commercial and the tour announcement, with Gina Views stating that she believes SZA is "that girl" of this generation.
