Wiz Khalifa appears ready to revisit a pivotal chapter in his career, with Kush & Orange Juice 2 reportedly set to drop April 18—fifteen years almost to the day since the original mixtape helped define an era.

According to a post from the NFR Podcast, the sequel to the beloved 2010 tape is slated for release this week, though Wiz himself has yet to confirm the date across his social media platforms or in recent vlog episodes. The podcast’s announcement included artwork previously shared by Wiz in 2024, which has circulated as the rumored cover, though not officially confirmed.

If it does land on April 18, the project will serve as a symbolic return—marking a decade and a half since the original Kush & Orange Juice dropped on April 14, 2010.

The sequel comes as something of a surprise to long-time fans. On a Backonfigg episode aired roughly one to two years ago, Wiz dismissed the idea of a part two, saying the original tape was “a moment in time” that couldn’t be recreated. That statement made the announcement of K&OJ 2 all the more meaningful—proof that even moments in time can inspire new chapters.

The Pittsburgh rapper first confirmed the sequel was complete in March 2024, tweeting: “Kush and Oj 2 is done and going into mixing. Thank you to everyone involved. Taylor Gang The World.” Shortly after, he revealed that Cardo—who produced two standout cuts on the original, including “Mezmorized”—was back in the mix. Cardo also confirmed his involvement, sending a ripple of excitement through the fanbase.

Though some fans have approached the sequel with cautious optimism, few deny the importance of the original. While it wasn’t Wiz’s first project, Kush & Orange Juice was the one that made everything click. From lyrical growth to cinematic production and a fully developed style, the tape marked a creative leap that would define his mainstream rise.

Now, with the same ingredients and familiar collaborators in place, fans are hopeful that Kush & Orange Juice 2 won’t try to relive the past—but evolve it.
